Airport reception and transfer to your hotel in Lima. Overnight in Lima.
Pick-up from your hotel to begin a 3-hour and 30-minute city tour of our capital, Lima, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean. We will take you along the Malecón de Miraflores to the iconic Parque del Amor, offering the best panoramic views of the city’s coastline.
We then continue and stop in front of Huaca Pucllana, a large adobe pyramid that looks like a sleeping giant among modern buildings. The guide will explain how, centuries before the Incas, sacred rituals were performed here. (Entrance not included.)
Next, we head to the Historic Center of Lima, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walking through its colonial streets, the guide will take us to the Plaza Mayor of Lima, surrounded by the Cathedral, the Government Palace of Peru with its solemn balconies, and the Municipal Palace.
We then continue to the Convent of San Francisco, a true architectural treasure. Among cloisters decorated with Sevillian tiles, paintings from the Cusco School, and underground passages, the catacombs offer a fascinating encounter with the past. On the return, we pass by Plaza San Martín, where pigeons and republican façades create an atmosphere of nostalgia.
Transfer to the airport to depart for the Imperial City of Cusco on an afternoon flight.

Between 12:30 and 13:00 hrs., we will visit the heart of the ancient capital of the Tahuantinsuyo: the Plaza de Armas of Cusco. Surrounded by colonial churches and carved wooden balconies, its atmosphere vibrates between the Inca past and the Spanish legacy. We will enter the Cusco Cathedral, where Cusco Baroque art seems to dialogue with Andean symbols hidden among golden brushstrokes.
Just a few steps away, we visit Qorikancha, the Temple of the Sun, where perfectly fitted stone walls recall the grandeur of the Inca civilization.
We then leave the city center to ascend toward the archaeological remains overlooking Cusco. Our first stop is Sacsayhuamán, the fortress of cyclopean stone blocks, so massive they seem to have been carved by giants.
We continue to Qenko, a ceremonial center where stone passageways once guarded the secrets of ancient rituals. Finally, at Tambomachay, the gentle murmur of water fountains speaks of the sacred connection between the Incas and nature.
Return to the hotel at approximately 18:00 hrs.

Transfer to the Poroy Train Station to board the train to Aguas Calientes (a small town near the Machu Picchu Sanctuary). The train journey lasts approximately 3 hours and offers spectacular landscapes combining Andean highlands and jungle scenery.
Train departure: 05:10 hrs. | Arrival: 09:15 hrs.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we leave the station to board the transportation that will take us uphill to the ruins of Machu Picchu. This short 20-minute bus ride offers impressive views.
We will then arrive at the Machu Picchu Sanctuary, where our local guide will lead a tour through the most important sectors of this beautiful Inca citadel. In Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a 2-hour guided tour, visiting the agricultural sector, made up of impressive cultivation terraces, and the urban sector, where the main civil and religious activities took place. We will also visit the Intihuatana of Machu Picchu, located at the highest part of the citadel, as well as the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Condor, and other significant areas.
In the afternoon, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch (lunch not included).
Return by train to Cusco.

The route includes slightly steep ascents and gradually ascending flat sections. For both hikes, horses can be rented on site, led by local muleteers.
